1. How has watching K-dramas influenced your personal growth and development as an adult?
Well, sometimes it's hard to differentiate between fiction and reality haha and actually watching K-dramas feels more like being young, like I'm still in my early 20s, where it's still possible to feel giddy and have a crush on an "oppa".
2. Can you share a specific K-drama moment or storyline that had a profound impact on you and why?
Actually, that was the hardest part of being a K-drama fan, with so many dramas I've watched, it's difficult to pinpoint specific lines or moments that had an impact on my life. But for me personally, as long as the storyline is about family, being a mom, and chasing your dreams and goals, it really captures my interest and emotions. Sometimes, in an ongoing drama, I start imagining what could happen next, especially in a scene from "Hometown ChaChaCha" where the pregnant character struggles with her pregnancy and her husband thinks she's just being dramatic, it hit me hard. At that time, I was only 4 months postpartum with my youngest, and the struggle in that scene of the pregnant character made me shed tears so much that even today when I remember it, I shake my head.
3. In what ways have K-dramas helped you navigate challenges or difficult times in your life as an adult?
K-dramas are my "ME TIME", even if it means staying up late. It's my way to escape reality, enter a different world, and enjoy the scenes there. With the help of the K-dramas I watch, I get a certain feeling of happiness, like before going to sleep, I feel good, I get giddy, my heart feels happy, I laugh. It's my way to recharge so that the next day, I have energy again for a new day. It may keep me up late, but it makes me happy π«Ά
4. What is your all-time favorite K-drama?
"Because This is My First Life", I've watched it 3 times and its impact on me feels like the first time I watched it. It's the best of the best, a well-written K-drama of all time for me π«Ά

1. Do you have a favourite K-Drama quote or moment that resonates with you on a personal level, and why?
I have made notes of many impactful lines in K-Dramas. The storylines are so rich and impactful. One reflects on your own life and what the quote or line means to you.
- Castaway Diva - Park Eun Bin: Wishes don't always come true right away. They don't come true when we want them to. They take a long time.... You forget about them and then suddenly, They come true! So don't cut ties just because you don't like them and don't give up even when it gets too tough Stay strong and endure and hang in there And then, one day... Your wishes come true In unexpected ways!!
- Extraordinary Attorney Woo - Park Eun Bin: My life may be eccentric and weird, but it is meaningful and valuable.
- Welcome to Samdal-ri - Ji Chang Wook: Having a place to return to, is an incredible relief - it's called home. These quotes made me tearful, as I can relate to all of them in my life journey.
2. In what ways do you think K-Dramas have contributed to your overall well-being and happiness as an adult?
I was blown away by the storytelling and the rich characters. The talent of the Korean actors is astounding. When I watch K-Dramas I can switch off from the world and life and just immerse myself in the stories. There are lines that just hit you right between the eyes and touch your heart. I always praise the script writers, directors, producers and actors and behind the scenes crews for the passion and commitment they bring to each Series. Watching K-Dramas is my happy place. I watch 6-8 hours during the week and then longer on weekends. However I have to cut down as I must get 8 hours sleep every day. π΄My hubby says I am much more loving and happier since watching my K-Dramas. He watches with me sometimes. Right now we are watching weekly together Miss Night and Day. He is enjoying it.
3. How do you see your love for K-Dramas evolving, as you continue to grow and mature as an individual?
I thought I would get bored after so long, however since Sep 2023 when the new Series started being released, I was hooked all over again. The new Series are showing improvement in how the storylines are evolving and shaping. I was joking on one FB page saying the Korean script writers should hold a workshop with the K-Drama fans and we can share with them what we love seeing in a K-Drama and what should be taken out. My main peeve is when it is an excellent storyline and then it falls apart in the last 2 episodes. I do not enjoy open endings... I enjoy closure as I invested time to watch that Series, so it must have closure for me. I am thinking of starting my own FB review page, however right now I do not have the time. Maybe once I retire, I can become a full-time digital creator and blogger. π

1. What life lessons or values have you learned from K-dramas that you have applied to your own life as an adult?
Aside from being the source of entertainment to many, watching K-drama really helped me in keeping my sanity especially during pandemic time! It made me feel less sad!
The love story of a couple, the struggles in the family, the social issues, these plots are also same with the dramas that we have in our own entertainment industry, but I honestly believe that watching Korean dramas inspire me more.. I have learned to do hardwork from them, loving myself more as I age, and the 'kilig' it gives me everytime I focus on romantic-comedy scenes, it makes me feel young againπ
The K-culture is getting more interesting for me!☺️

I am a member of a group of K-drama fanatics in social media where I get to comment on the posts of other members., I share my insights and give opinions, and it makes me happy seeing "likes & heart emojis"' on the comments I made!π
I don't know these people and yet it feels like we've already seen each other in person!!
It goes to show that even if none of us knows who commented on a certain post there's one thing that connects us., our love for watching K-dramas!☺️
3. What do you think makes Kdramas so appealing and accessible to a wide range of viewers?
K-dramas' storylines normally tackle about love, family & friendship., so to someone like me who loves to love, and gives importance to family & friends will definitely get attached to every series that I watch..
And I sincerely think that the storytelling techniques and it's fresh approach plus the amazing original music of each drama make us get addicted in watching the series!π
