My Siblings Romance Interview + What To Expect On The Singapore Trip
Jaehyung & Seseung
Jaehyung hyung and Seseung, have captured attention as the 'adorable siblings' who sometimes bicker playfully and at other times share serious concerns.
Q. The siblings appeared consecutively at first. Did their acting skills look practiced?
A. Seseung: The situation wasn't what I had anticipated. However, we knew that even if it was just the two of us, we must not let anyone know we knew each other, so I had to stay alert. My brother was already zoned out, so I asked his name first as a sign that 'we need to act.'
A. Jaehyung: After I first entered, I was waiting to see who would come in next, and I was shocked when Seseung entered. Her acting helped me to dive back into the role.
Q. When was the presence of a sibling most reassuring?
A. Seseung: My brother has always had a 'brotherly charm.' I’ve relied on him a lot for advice on career and relationships. In the house, when I felt down or unsure about a decision, having him right there was very comforting.
A. Jaehyung: Being able to ask for small favors felt very reassuring. With our busy lives, there were times I couldn't manage household chores, and I appreciated how she effortlessly helped with things like laundry.
Jungsub & Yoonha
Yoonha and Jungsub displayed the most endearing and affectionate sibling bond on the show 'My Sibling’s Romance.'
Q. This isn’t a typical dating show but a sibling participation show. What were your thoughts on participating as siblings?
A. Jungsub: I thought participating as siblings would make it more comfortable. It was interesting to watch my sister date and act coy, and I was curious about what she would think when I dated someone.
A. Yoonha: It was more fascinating than burdensome to watch each other in those situations.
Q. Jungsub’s cute and sweet reactions in the sibling’s room became a topic of discussion. Is he usually affectionate?
A. Yoonha: He's very affectionate. When he was younger, he was even more so, known among my friends as the cute younger brother. Even when friends came over, they loved and adored his charming and cute demeanor.
A. Jungsub: It’s embarrassing, but it seems true.
A. Yoonha: I knew he was affectionate at home, but I had never seen him act that way with others. All the participants said "He’s sweet," which made me wonder, 'Is my brother really like that?' But seeing him taking care of others, I acknowledged it.
Yoonjae & Ji Won
Yoonjae and Jiwon have captivated viewers with their unique charm, setting them apart from the other participants.
Q. This isn’t just a dating show but a program where siblings appear together. What were your thoughts on participating as siblings?
A. Jiwon: Even before I knew it was a sibling participation show, I was planning to decline, but knowing it involved siblings made me feel even less inclined. Nevertheless, I decided to participate because it was a program where siblings appear together.
A. Yoonjae: I had never considered appearing on TV before. The concept of a dating show was also unfamiliar to me. Thinking of myself as ordinary and not entertaining, I often thought, 'I’m not interesting.'
Q. Even when you bicker, Jiwon supports Yoonjae at crucial moments, and Yoonjae becomes gentle like a lamb. Do you usually help each other out?
A. Yoonjae: I often receive help. Whenever I think, 'I should ask my sister about this,' I ask her right away. If she gives an answer, I think, 'That must be right.'
A. Jiwon: It's okay if my brother looks bad in my eyes, but I don't like it when others see him in a bad light. I can criticize him, but I don't want others to do so.
Yoongwoo & Juyeon
Yongwoo and Juyeon, known as the "unicorn siblings" for their seemingly perfect bond, addressed the nickname with humor and gratitude, with Yongwoo expressing surprise at the comparison to a unicorn. Their striking resemblance led Juyeon to use formal language to create a visual distinction, even going as far as using makeup as a disguise to appear less alike.
Q. Are there any memorable moments from the current broadcasts?
A. Juyeon: It was when we first entered the siblings' room. It was the first time my brother and I were alone in a space together, which was whimsically decorated like something out of a fairy tale. I felt a sense of emotional stability. It was comfortable to talk to my brother, who looks 'just like me.' Also, a recent scene from Episode 8, where I had a long conversation while lying down with Seseung, helped us become closer.
A. Yongwoo: Many moments vividly remain in my memory. The first is when the siblings' room opened—it felt like a 007 operation, which was fun. Another is when I read our job reveal and sibling introduction letters. Reading the letters unguarded brought up indescribable emotions. Lastly, when I went up the bungee jump platform. I climbed up very slowly, aware of the expectations from others based on my job. During that one minute going up, I had a lot of thoughts.
Q. There were many tears during the sibling reveal scene. What were you feeling at that moment?
A. Yongwoo: During the job reveal, I felt thankful and proud of how well Juyeon has grown up. At the sibling reveal, everyone cried. Videos of our parents and memories from our childhood flashed before us. It felt like revisiting our childhood and seeing our growth journey pass by.
A. Juyeon: I started crying as soon as I heard our family's voices. I cried so much I barely remember it. Watching the broadcast, I thought everyone had grown up so well. It seemed everyone had matured beautifully through their own journeys, which I found admirable. I also felt grateful and respectful towards our parents.
Cheolyeon & Choa
Choa and Cheolhyeon have impressed many viewers with their strong bond as siblings. Cheolhyeon joked about his hairstyling skills but showed love for his sister, happy to see her energetic and appreciated. Choa mentioned how she relies on her brother when things go wrong, feeling secure and stable just by being around him. Their relationship is close and supportive.
Q. How do you feel about seeing 'Brother-in-law Hunter' Cheolhyeon on the broadcast?
A. Choa: I didn’t know he had a fantasy about brothers-in-law. I thought we had been living independently, but I realized that Cheolhyeon had deeply entered my life. I thought it was serious and cute.
A. Cheolhyeon: I hoped that my sister would also have a fence around her. It was exciting to see people recognizing my sister's charm during the brother-in-law interview scene. I spoke as if a motor was attached to my mouth.
Q. There has been a lot of feedback about you two being a 'visual, atmospheric' pair of siblings. What is the most outstanding charm of being siblings?
A. Choa: It was great to discover my brother’s cuteness through the program. When Cheolhyeon laughs, he looks innocent and bright like a child, which I think is his most surprising charm.
A. Cheolhyeon: True. It was a feeling I had forgotten for a while, but having my sister brought out my true self. My sister has a classical Eastern beauty and atmosphere. She never admitted it despite my telling her several times, but through the program, many people resonated with her unique atmosphere, which made me feel good.
